0.1.2 Update is now Live!
I’m expecting an influx of new players soon, so this update is deliberately focused on stability and bug fixes while I continue working on larger features in the background.
Changes:
- Fixed map hole at 1193, -530.
- Added a reward to the Sheep Shearer quest.
- Simplified the Firemaking challenge to better accommodate players with high ping.
- Fixed campfires remaining unlit if a recipe was aborted.
- Added groundwork for future recipes that will require started or completed quests.
- Fixed camel passenger dismount resetting camel speed.
- Fixed the scoreboard not displaying the last skill when the player is in a party.
- Fixed incorrect player counts when pinging the server.
- Fixed an issue with the Threads of Aid quest when players didn’t have both required items in their inventory.
- Added more resources to Tutorial Island.
- Simplified quest item collection steps. Now tracks the player’s current inventory instead of counting items separately.

This update introduces a brand-new referral system, herblore content, backend improvements, and a long list of fixes focused on stability and quality of life.

- Referral System - Invite friends, let them set you as a mentor using

This update brings new shops, crafting updates, quality of life improvements, and some important fixes.

New Release 0.0.15 is Live!
This release brings a new US-based server, new content and some quality of life improvements.
Update Highlights:
- US players now can use US based server to connect to get improved ping.
- Added Spider Dungeon - a lower-level dungeon.
- New Threads of Air mini-quest.
- Fix camel owner getting dismounted when passenger dismounts.
- Various map fixes (+ a fence near dungeon keeper, let's see if that fixes the disappearing issue)
- Hide citizen display names to make it less cluttered.
- Added player trading. Shift+Right click player to initiate a trading session. Currency is not currently supported, use platinum tokens for now.

New Release 0.0.14 is Live!
This release brings a mix of combat balance tweaks, crafting fixes, system improvements, and Discord integration.
Update Highlights:
- Attacks are now capped to a minimum of 1 damage on successful hits
- Fixed iron arrow tips not being consumed when crafting studded armor
- Fixed Cleave not properly making mobs aggressive
- Added and improved in-game rules
- Fixed expiring bombs breaking the scoreboard
- Improved daily reward streak logic when losing long streaks (Rewards are now rerolled if the player had a streak of at least 4 days before losing it.)

This update is a mix of one big new system and a long list of fixes and tweaks.
Important note: Player Housing is experimental. I’ve tested it as thoroughly as possible, but please take screenshots whenever buying a house or placing furniture, just in case something goes sideways. Better safe than explaining to future-you why your sofa vanished into the void.

I’ve been thinking for a long time about when to announce the actual launch. Eventually you just have to rip the bandaid off. The core systems are finally in place, the balance and features are mostly behaving. 7 months of solo development time and at this point there’s only one thing left to do: to play the actual god damn game.
RuneHeim will officially go live on December 23rd at 3 PM UTC.
This will be a soft launch. There’s still plenty to test, tweak, and tune, but as the saying goes: The quieter you go, the farther you’ll get.
